Falling Walls Global Call

The Falling Walls Science Summit is one of the world’s premier interdisciplinary conferences, celebrating science breakthroughs that make an impact. Every year, the Falling Walls Foundation launches one of the largest world-wide searches for the most outstanding breakthroughs of the year across all the sciences, known as the Falling Walls Global Call 2023.

This year, the foundation again invites leading actors in science and academia to nominate the latest breakthrough science projects in 9 different categories to be named the Falling Walls Science Breakthroughs of the Year. The Falling Walls Science Breakthrough of the Year laureates will present their groundbreaking research at the Falling Walls Science Summit on 9 November 2023 in Berlin. You can nominate outstanding research or apply with your own project in the following categories:

Life Sciences
Physical Sciences
Social Science & Humanities
Engineering & Technology
Art & Science
Science & Innovation Management
• Emerging Talents (Falling Walls Lab)
• Science Start-ups (Falling Walls Venture)
• Science Engagement (Falling Walls Engage)

We highly encourage you to send in your nominations and applications for the Falling Walls Science Breakthroughs of the Year by 1 May 2023. Early submission is recommended.
