Allemagne : les étudiants internationaux amortissent la baisse démographique

Malgré une baisse de la natalité dans les classes d’âge concernées, le nombre d’étudiants débutants en Allemagne a augmenté de 1,1 % au semestre d’hiver dernier par rapport à l’année précédente, selon les derniers chiffres du CHE Centrum für Hochschulentwicklung.

Même si, avec environ 402.000 étudiants, on est encore loin du record de 2011/12, ce sont surtout les étudiants internationaux qui sont responsables de cette légère augmentation, comme le rapporte The PIE News. Jenna Mittelmeier de l’Université de Manchester décrit dans une interview avec Dr. Jan Kercher sur le blog de “Wissenschaft weltoffen” les expériences que ces étudiants font en Allemagne dans leur vie quotidienne.
